time of 1936 papers Today was such an incredible day. It was my moms birthday thus many intriguing things have occurred in the paper. I actually never read a paper, yet for reasons unknown I was snared on it right when I got it. Well to begin my extraordinary day, I rose right on time to prepare a cake for my mom. I previously had flour, yeast, vanilla, milk, and salt yet I despite everything required eggs, sugar, and margarine. Well I jumped on my shoes and strolled down the square to the Food store to get the remainder of the fixings. I needed to get the things quick with the goal that I could return home and make the cake to amaze my mother. I got spread which was 37 pennies a pound, natural sweetener for 49 pennies a pound, enormous eggs for 25 pennies twelve, and a New York Times paper for 2 pennies( New York Times 1936, page 1 ). I was shocked to see that every one of my things were on special. I at that point returned home and made the cake. While the cake was heating, I began to take a gander at the paper. The primary thing that got my attention was on the first page. In huge strong letters it said Roosevelt and the New Deal. This article got my attention since I had no clue what the New Deal was. The article was about how Roosevelt gained up the Works Ground Administration(Times 1 ) which gives jobless individuals occupations. All things considered, the article went on about how it will give 8,000,000 individuals jobs(Times 2 ). I was so eager to catch wind of this on the grounds that my dad lost his employment during the Great Depression. I trust this Works Progress Administration works so my father can financially recover and work once more. As I was contemplating the chance of my father finding another line of work, an article about the Chicago Cubs grabbed my eye.
